Buggy: Not possible to reduce food points

In the App you can give points to the food you ate, so you can keep track. But you cannot reduce those points if you accidentally gave wrong points. You can only delete the whole day. Worse for custom food, these even cant be deleted over that option. In the state right now the app is unusable!

What a mess. Pass.

It has an incomprehensible user interface and spends much of its time loading - lord knows what its loading - and once its loaded it crashes (five times in five minutes on my iPad). The icons are not explained or perhaps they are in the never-never land aps go to when they crash. Its infuriating because it costs and there are better and cleaner aps which do what this one tries to and which are free. Dont bother pressing the ap support button - its an equally useless web site. Pass. Pass. Pass.

Very nice!

Very nice app - Exactly what I need since I dont go by calories but by portion according the Food Guide. Love the fact that we can select quarters or half portion and basically, the portion we select are based on whatever we want to make them. It does not limit us to pre-decided weight and portions. Love it. I have 3 suggestions to make it perfect (for me at least!). Add a place for us to enter our weight - either every day or once a week and we can then use this app to see week over week the trend. I would also like to be able to enter some reference food in the categories - for instance, I can never remember what my cottage cheese is worth in milk portions..3 or 4? If I could specify it in the Serving category, I could go and check for sure before I make an entry. It would be like entering customized servings based on what we usually eat. That would be my number 1 addition. Last suggestion would be a simple daily comment section where we can add personnal notes - just a few words. Would be helpful for people like me, trying to understand what food has made me sick or for other people, what gives them migraines or makes them gain weight, etc... That would be the 5 stars application for me ;)

Simple and convenient

I have recently started using this app in addition to the one I normally use to track the calories of the food I eat, since I wanted to also keep track of the food groups. I like that the groups in the app correspond to the diatitian association guide food groups and that there is capacity for adding personalized groups. I would really like to see an option to edit numbers in different categories if a mistake happened in the past without resetting the whole day. It would also be great to be able to add personal portion suggestions - as of right now, I need to keep referring to my paper cheat sheet all the time, but it would be great if I could add the info to the app directly.

Add notes section please

I love the app. I just wish that it had a place to mark down notes for the day. Thanks.

Great app!

Great app! But will be better if we can see the portions dissapears by but the number hallow or thing like that. A kind of pie for each categorie. And slide up and down for add or remove "a piece of tart" representating a portion would be better than touch to add and go on setting to remove last entry. Tanks very much for that app!

Great ap

Really great app for the money. Simple and easy to use. I like the fact that you can set your own goals. Good app to use in combination with my calorie counter.

Great way to see what your eating

This is a great app if your not into fad diets. It helps you make sure your getting the variety in the major food groups. My suggestion is the serving sizes should be relatable to people who are not readily having measurements so instead of grams and ounces this app should also give measurements like steak serving size like the size of a hockey puck or fist etc. That way individuals can make an easier distinction when not at home.

Could do better to help eat well, not just less

Does exactly what its supposed to and it will help you eat less by setting goals for portions. But it falls down on helping me to improve my diet. For example, one category for "meat" where you are supposed to track everything from hamburger to peanut butter doesnt make any sense. A good diet means cutting down on red meat and boosting fish and nuts, so why track them in the same category? Ive set up custom categories to get better granularity, but more built-in categories would be better. I would like to see max and min servings rather than just maximums. Im not concerned about eating too much fruit but too little. The way it is now if I exceed my fruit target the number turns red. I could also do without the splash screen - I find it gaudy.

Great Way to Track Food Group

I have used for a week and its exactly what I want: a simple visual tracker and a place to check if Im reaching my intake goals. Thanks! One note: resetting the day doesnt reset the custom category entries.

Simple is sometimes the best

This application is simple and easy to use. The interface is straight forward which makes entering data quickly. Setting goals is also nice.

Does the job

This app is great for calculating the basic caloric intake and accounting for how many portions of each food group have been eaten. Overall a great app for starting a healthy lifestyle.

Stuck on June 12

Lovely app - I agree with most of the reviews. I cannot get the Today view for June13. Suggestion: to make it OK to skip a day.

Great app but could use some tweaking..

Been using this for over a week and really liking it so far, makes it easy to keep track of servings according to the Canada Food Guide. The only downfall is not having a space for notes, would love to be able to keep track of exactly what i am eating, an exercise log wouldnt hurt either :)

Great app

Ive been really enjoying this app. Its very simple to use and is really helping me keep my eating on track. I love how you can determine your own food group goals (for those of us who think the food guide is bunk) and I find the visual charts great for getting an overall feel for things. I agree with other reviews that Id be nice to have a section for daily notes. I also notice how the goals and the number color coding is based on the idea that you every day want to meet those goals. Sometimes however, a goal is more of a dont consume more than amount and not necessarily an amount you want to actually eat each day. Itd be nice if the app adjusted for this, or made it so you could turn goals or the color coding numbers off for certain categories or all if it. (For instance, I like tracking when I take multivitamins but I dont have a goal for one day). Also adding an exercise log is a great idea too!

Food tracker review

I love it. Would not change a thing.

Best food tracker around.

This app is awesome, I was hesitant about actually paying for a food tracking app but I love it - well worth the money. Its easy to use and it makes it easy to follow your changes each week. A+!

Great app!

Very happy with this app. Easy to use and very useful.

Easy to use

Food tracker is very easy to use and allows you to track daily, weekly and monthly food intake. Worth every penny!

Brilliant food tracker

Easy and effective! It allows me to keep track without being perfectionistic, obsessive or judgmental. This is the only way of keeping track of my intake. Thank you infinity. I even added exercise like a food.
